NYC / Film Industry Oppo's I need some more advice

My ST's been snowed in the past few days, due to ice and snowplows. I, keep forgetting to buy a shovel, and even my dedicated snows cannot get over the massive mound of snow keeping me in.

This evening, I get home from work and find a sign saying that they're filming Person of Interest where my car (and a lot of others) are parked, signaling NO PARKING. This sign has not been up even 24 hours. Also, I cannot physically move my car. Will I get towed?

***** NYC Alternate Side parking has been suspended for the rest of the week, another reason I'm pissed that I may get towed.

I'm 99 percent asleep, and almost willing to have them tow it to get it out of the snow. I'll just fight the ticket and say I wasn't home. like I said, the sign hadn't even been up 24 hours. It wasn't there when I left for work this morning.

If only your car had a tow hook that screwed into one of the bumpers, you could try to yank it out of the snow bank with someone else's vehicle.

Ford apparently didn't see fit to include a tow hook on the US-market Focus and Fiesta though.

double check the date on the sign that shows when theyre filming

they will most likely tow your car, i wouldnt risk it

buy some ice melter and get that St out!

I'm starting to think more and more that I should not move into the city unless I can 100% afford a garage space or something

I'm about to start driving nearly everyday for work (promotion). I'm actually unfortunately gravely thinking of selling my ST because of this. Wear and tear on NYC roads is going to destroy this little thing. :/. And twice a month I'll be doing a rochester and back run.

When I lived in city last month, I couldn't decide what was worse for my car, rallycross or nyc streets. They really are comparable.

haha Im gonna go out on a limb here and say the streets. Bought my car last Febuary, and I've ruined two rims and needed two alignments since then. I think I just need a god damn truck.

Both of our suspensions are probably shot as well. I read on a forum that a Detroit owner had to replace the suspension after like 6k miles of pure city driving.
